Just wanted to say thank you to Morgan for giving me permission to use some photos from his portfolio! He is amazing! This website already has the updated cover on it. This gives my book a much better look. Just submitted the updates on Amazon and Draft2Digital so hopefully it will be available in the next few days! Also thanks to family and friends for their feedback on the cover changes as I made adjustments, super helpful!

Hey everyone! Thinking of recreating the front cover of Lila. I originally had a different idea of how I wanted it to look but with the lack of models, geez, I am a newbie after all, I settled for the current cover. Finally after many times of throwing out the question, "Do you know any male with a muscular physique who would be willing to work with me to be on the cover of my book?" I finally got a yes! Super excited to get his portfolio to start putting together a new cover. Stay tuned!

Smashbooks has the ebook version on sale right now until March 9th! Also, if anyone tried to order a paperback version of Lila and it is still sitting in your cart stating it is processing or waiting for the book to be in stock, please remove it and reorder it. I had to resubmit the book because of issues with another distributer. But it should be working now! Second book is coming along. I have had a few readers asking when the next book will be out. Hoping by the end of this summer.

Finally got the paperback version of Lila uploaded to Amazon as well as on Kindle!  Please see the purchase page for a link. I am now working on using various social media platforms to try and promote my book.  Whew, what a lot of work! Being a brand new author and trying to get a name out there is challenging. But here we go! I also have about 15 chapters written in the second book of the series. For those who have read the first book and are wanting to know what happens next, don't worry, it's being worked on! A big thanks to those who have been supporting me through all of this!

Not sure why Amazon does not have the paperback version up and running but will be checking on it.  Barnes and Noble does I believe.  I just submitted a new copy copy to Amazon alone to ensure the print version is available on their website. Hopefully everything will be completed in around 72 hours.

I received my proof copy in paperback, made some adjustments on the cover and submitted it for publication. Now I am  just waiting for the email that notifies me that it is ready to be published!  Now looking at the audiobook version.  I want to thank all of you who have supported me so far.  A special thanks to my co-workers who have started to share my posts on social media, you are amazing! It's by word of mouth and sharing with others that will get this book out. How do you get your name and book out  unless you have people in your life who are willing to spread the word? I appreciate you all very much!

Just submitted the final copy of this book to a self-publishing website.  So far it looks as though its published on Smashwords and submitted to other platforms. Super excited to finally be able to put this book out on the market! I will be posting links to the various websites this book is available on. Right now the eBook version is being published.  As for the print version I submitted a copy as well, just need to order the proof copy to see what it all looks like before its published for the public. Stay tuned!

Currently working on editing and polishing up the last few chapters. It's honesty been a lot of work but very rewarding. Creating and learning all the social media platforms to spread the word is probably the most tiring but will be worth it. I would like that thank those who have taken the time to read this novel and provide feedback, especially to those who have helped in the editing process. All the insight from everyday readers has been so helpful! (Thinking I will have to create a thank you page for this first book.) Again, plan to publish next month!

Still waiting for one more person to finish reading through the novel and look for any needed edits/changes. I have submitted the book to about 30 agents. Some state they will respond after so many days and others state if there is no response by a certain time frame, then they are not interested. I have gotten a few, "not a fit for me," or "I am not the right person to champion it forward," and even, "Even though we found many qualities in your work and loved the idea behind the story, we felt the narrative relied heavily on telling."  This book falls under several categories, romance, suspense and mystery.  It's far more complex than just a romance story, which most agents won't get to see just reading the first few chapters or only reading the query letter. So far all of my test readers have loved the book and are left wondering what will happen next in the second book.  As of now it, it looks like I will be self-publishing. Once I get those edits back, I plan to put it up on the many self publishing sites available to authors! Hoping to get it back soon!

As my novel is still currently being looked at for editing purposes I have also begun to reach out to some literacy agents in an attempt to try the traditional route first.  If that does not pan out, no worries! My plan to self publish will continue. I have some great ideas and chapters already started for the second book. This book has been sent to a book club to get some feedback on it. They are reading it this month I believe. Other individuals I gave the novel to have given me some great feedback already! Ok, back to more writing....
